Trim them while they are young. That is the best advice you can take when it comes to making sure the shape of your young tree(s) get off to a great start. The picture to the left shows a tree at just the right age and size. Smaller trees can be trimmed also, as long as there is enough growth to work with. Shaping and trimming will help keep the tree healthy as well as look its best.
