Our History and Community

Our History and Community

Tom started Yellowstone Valley Tree Surgeons in 1981 as a culmination of his early experiences working in the tree industry. From a young age, Tom would go logging with his step-dad, and his understanding of arboriculture grew from there. After working with several different companies, Tom decided he would start Yellowstone Valley Tree Surgeons in 1981. We grew over time, spreading positivity and awareness of the environment. Every year we are a large part of the community events, such as the Arbor Day volunteer project with the city of Billings. Even from such humble beginnings, we plan to continue using our business as a platform to help the Earth and our community.
